SDG 13, 14, 15

In one hour of class (which can be spread over two sessions if you like) your students will understand the various threats facing biodiversity, including habitat loss, deforestation, fragmentation, overexploitation and invasive species, and be able to relate these threats to local biodiversity.

Students will be able to argue against destructive environmental practices that cause biodiversity loss and be able to link with local groups dedicated to biodiversity conservation in their area.

Students know what biodiversity is and why it is so important. It is able to distinguish between the main types of ecosystems on the planet.
